The Raiders and other questions (Spoilers)

When the men came to raid his camp - why were their faces covered up?

Because they wanted not to be recognized by any survivors.
If some escaped.

Also - after the first raid why didn't they enter the shack and just kill everyone - and why destroy valuable crops?

Because they had no axes to break open the doors.
How do you know it was the same group?

Having been discovered and survived - why stay there and wait with no defences - and even replant?

That's how Mankind survived the harshest of disasters. We rebuilt from scratch.
I take it you didn't survived anything in your life.

Was it necessary to show everybody naked - it added nothing to the film,

Not everyone has sex with their clothes on like your parents did when they had you.

Was it necessary to illustrate most every human function - again, it added nothing.

When you flush, do you look down? Why?
It adds nothing.

A true survivalist would have killed both the women and moved on as soon as his camp was discovered

Only a true survivalist such as yourself would confuse a farm with a camp.
And only a true survivalist such as yourself would prefer the company of his right hand, instead of a woman.

Why would he help two extra mouths to feed? It made no sense.

I take it you never helped anybody in your life.
Your existence makes no sense.

And it seems to me that a guy with finely honed instincts would have felt her feeling about for the shells by the bed.

A guy such as yourself wouldn't even get inside a bed with a woman.
Because of his finely honed instincts would tell him that his hand is better.

Covered faces was probably just to make them more menacing at first.

I thought they took the crops and just left behind the under developed ones. At least i assumed that as it would not make sense to just shake the shack and some garden vandalism.

Moving is a hard decision but so is staying. He would have to spend time moving and rebuilding whilst having very little food to do all this extra work.

I think that is the plot... he was lonely and emotions affected his survival instinct and as his guard went down those 2 were busy plotting his downfall. He went from using his brother as a decoy to now sacrificing himself for that girl. But he will be survived by his child.
