The ending scene between the Red Queen and the White Queen was so f'cking great, and so was the final scene with Alice and her mother. Pretty much the entire ending of the film was good. The rest was seriously bad.
Forever Boy When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.
The acting was terrible. Mia Wasikowska has the ability to convey two emotions: 1) A pouty indignation and 2) indifference. The were scenes where Alice should have had some sort of fear or trepidation (i.e. the scene where she's supposed to be rappelling down from the roof of the sanitarium) and the best we can get out of Mia was her waiting for the bus. Depp was phoning it in. Hathaway sounded like she was reading her lines. None of the protagonists were likable. I don't know how the writers did it but the only likable character was Time, and he's supposed to be the antagonist! WTF!? The scope of the story went the exact opposite of the first. In the first all of Wonderland, I'm sorry, Underland, was in danger. Now in this story our concern is for two characters: Hatter and the Red Queen who, and let's be fair to them, really don't matter. Red Queen isn't a queen anymore and Hatter is some guy who lost his family. He's kind of like Bruce Wayne if Bruce Wayne became the Joker except the Joker is more of a lazy dick instead of a murdering psychopath. Why exactly is everyone willing to destroy time and the world for them?
