Everything I've read so far from all of you indicates that the 3D is awesome! It looked awesome in the preview I saw, too! So why is it already out of theatres? :(

shareIn addition to not drawing the audience that was hoped for, it's summer and there are a whole slew of big tentpole films coming up. Real estate is too precious for anything that is not filling damn near every seat to have much of a chance.
shareI worked at a theater from 2009 to 2013 and the 3D sales for any movie were always drastically low. People always opted for 2D. There usually wasn't enough of an effect to make 3D worth the extra charge and it didn't take customers long to realize that.
