Is White Rabbit ever going to be released?

P!NK's version of the song sounded really good on the trailer so I don't understand why it's not on the soundtrack or anything. I can't find it anywhere and it's quite annoying that they would make the song then totally abandon it. If anyone has somehow found a copy of it I would be thankful if you were to share it. :)

Well just saw it last night and it wasn't in the movies and not in the credits as far as I saw (just stayed for a minute or so), but she already sang it live! check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPvR-7GddEk

Sounds JUST like in the trailer

Send me a PM and as soon as it's available I'll send it to you! X

You are correct. I saw the whole movie and stayed through the whole end credits.

The song was not in the movie at all and not in the end credits at all and not listed in the end credits at all either.

They did list the songs that were in the movie but that particular song was NOT one of them.

I really want to download it.

Yeah I just saw it tonight and I was expecting to hear somewhere in the film or at least during the end credits after Pink's other song but it never showed up. What a bummer. It sounded really cool.

I don't have a link to it or anything, but just wanted to add this comment for awareness:

It is not uncommon for there to be music in a trailer that does not appear in the film. The trailers are made well ahead of the film, often before the feature songs are decided on, or at least before the rights are finally secured.

Often, the soundtrack itself (music written specifically for the film) doesn't happen until long after the trailers are required for marketing.

Bit of a misleading tease to actually feature the words, "'White Rabbit' performed by Pink" at the end of that trailer if the song wasn't going to get released in good time, surely?

reply

Yeah, when I posted that, I wasn't aware of that. And the song was in there, in the film, I finally discovered.

But a lot of times the trailers are released months ahead of the film release, far earlier than soundtrack work as actually begun. It is not uncommon for parts of Temp scores to appear in those trailers. I guess this wasn't one of those cases.
