Again about the end, the way he looks, his NOSE seems normal to me.

There is something at the end that still bothers me and can't figure it out. They keep saying he blew off his nose and how they will replace it with a new one etc. Then, Sam leaves to bring a vase for the flowers, and Riggan starts to take off his bandages around the face. This s=normally should be very painful, but as he does this, his nose seem to be in normal condition to me... don't you think? He is only bruised a little around the eyes. So, I actually thought he didn't shot himself or... I'm really missing something here. Can anyone enlighten me? :D

He had a nose job to rebuild it, you're seeing him after surgery.

Oh, OK, I get it.

Even the best nose jobs take weeks of recovery and there would be stitches or staples. Nose jobs can be externally invisible when the surgery is just inside the nose, which is what a lot of cosmetic surgery is, but reconstruction would at minimum have stitches or staples and likely even grafts. There is no way that is a reconstruction of a nose that was hit by a bullet. It could be they meant that "shot his nose off" is more of an exaggeration and that what he actually did was fire the bullet close to his nose and all the damage is from the gunpowder blast, not the actual bullet, but there was blood when he fired the gun so he must have been hit by a bullet somewhere and this was not simply gunpowder blast damage.

Agreed. I think the nose part is a clue. I think it's a play on the saying cutting off the nose to spite the face. He couldn't deal with his play being a failure so he made up his mind to commit suicide.
