I see plenty of horrors including chainsaws, knives, axes, etc are usually rated higher than a horror movie based on, well, mythology or aliens.
Personally I prefer the latter as I never found blood and gore very scary. But it can't be that so many get *beep* scared when they see some blood?
really? I noticed ghost stuff/demon/vampire stuff get rated higher than slashers
also horror movies are nowhere near as good as they used to be. All these VOD stuff really killed slashers, and you only see alien/mythology stuff in theatres which of course get higher ratings because they had the budget and the actual viewers....
