Stopping for gas in the middle of the night

I was so annoyed when Paige stopped at the gas station in the middle of the night before her and her grandma left town. Why would you stop there when a killer is on the loose? I wouldn't get out my my car until I was miles away from the town. Damn!

The killer would have still followed...she was his end game....and it wasn't the middle of the night! They were supposed to set out in the morning (her grandma told her so and then she calls her boyfriend for some goodbye sex), and it was still dark outside...so maybe they set off at about 4:30 in the morning and drove for about an hour before stopping at the gas station....off course it would have made sense to go out in daylight (especially in "The Town That Dreaded Sundown")..

Regardless if it was AM or PM, it was still dark. Why would you stop at the gas station for snacks? Why did the grand mother even get out of the car? They had police detail, they should of have been escorted to the gas station if they really needed gas, not snacks. It was stupid and lazy writing. It's dark outside also, you can tell if someone was following you. But the killer just happened to be able to set himself across the street, it's so BS. Another movie that made the victims into complete idiots and the viewers should be gullible enough for us to actually believe it.

Disliked that as well, but most of it was good, I forgive those dumb insane mistakes from the characters just because the movie looked so nice.

Uh.....maybe she was running out of gas? Just a thought.

Regardless if they needed gas or not, they had police detail and they should of went to the gas station with the cop and they should of known if they're being tailed. It's not hard to spot headlights following you when it's dark out. I do it all the time to see who's following me home, if there is, I would take a different way. I was followed once after a big rumble in a bad neighborhood. I hit the highway and notice a car following me, so I punched it doing high speeds through light traffic. I know my BMW can handle the speed and curves on the highway and I lost the tail. Last thing I wanted was someone to pull up next to me and shoot me. I didn't even bother to stop at the red light, I took a right instead to avoid it and hit the smaller streets until I complete lost the car. Come to find out it wasn't someone I should be worried about, it was a friend fleeing the scene too.

If I can notice all of that and I wasn't the only car on the road, then she could of in a quiet area. Always be alert of your surroundings, even when you're driving.
