I mean, he is still alive, and has acted in another one of his dads movies (Boggy creek 2). Instead, we get an actor that looks nothing like him

I was hoping the same thing. He was also in the first one. I thought it would've been a nice tribute. Also, I thought it was weird how there wasn't one poster of "The Legend of Boggy Creek" on the wall of his house. I realize why they had to make The Town That Dreaded Sundown the focus of the film, but The Legend of Boggy Creek is one of the most famous Bigfoot movies there is so I thought he should have had more related to it.
