Why has Cara been so standoffish with Shain? She won't even kiss him. She acts like he isn't hot enough for her or something. Or is she just still carrying a torch for Tyler? Even if that's the case, Tyler's off banging Katie, why not give Shain a chance? Is he too goofy?

My impression has been that Shain's speech issues are a combination of his accent, drawl, and always having some chaw in his cheek.

i don't really like cara, but i must say if she isn't attracted to him, then she isn't attracted to him. he's sweet but she can't force it if it isn't there. he should spend that energy on someone who will reciprocate his feelings. i think it just comes down to the fact that she isn't attracted to him and their personalities don't click on a romantic level. someone could buy you a house, car, jacuzzi full of flowers, give you a kidney and shoot fireworks off in your back yard every night, but that won't make you love them if it's not there. that doesn't suddenly make them rigt for you. there's lots of nice guys, but they're not all the one or even dateable/compatible.
I think Shain is the cutest. At least he is not conceited like the other guys. He seems like he'd be a good ol' boy, but I agree with the poster who said he tries too hard. & I like his mustache. I just like facial hair on guys...and guys who just have that "country boy" body just from doing physical labor, rather than working out.

To be honest, I think she sees Shain as a friend. He's the kinda guy that seems to get friendzoned immediately. He's sweet and goofy, but just had a friendzone thing about him.
