Va. Sheriff: Carbon Monoxide killed them

from the Associated Press:

W.Va. sheriff: Carbon monoxide killed 'Buckwild' star

April 2, 2013, 3:14 PM EST

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Authorities in West Virginia say a star of the MTV reality show "Buckwild," who was found dead in his truck along with two passengers, died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Shain Gandee, 21, his uncle and another passenger were found dead Monday. Gandee's 1984 Ford Bronco was stuck in a mud hole, its tail pipe submerged. It's possible the gas could have filled the cabin because of the clogged exhaust pipe.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says autopsies completed Tuesday confirmed the three men died from the gas.

Their deaths have been ruled accidental.

The victims' bodies have been released to funeral homes, but no arrangements have yet been announced.

Shooting for the second season of the show set around Sissonville and Charleston has been suspended.

I still think it may have been suicide. The reason being is that carbon monixide death via car exhaust is a terrible way to die because you can smell the exhaust and it causes one to cough and gasp for air, let alone a horrible headache. A normal person is going to get out of that car.

The only thing I can think of is if they were on something, i.e. weed or drunk and wasn't in the right frame of mind to realize something bad was happening.

^^They couldn't get out of the car. The mud was past the windows. I don't think it was suicide. I think they just got stuck and I wonder if they couldn't put the car in park for some reason to turn the engine off. That of they got stuck and were too drunk to think about it so they left the car running and just inhaled all of the fumes.

Wasn't the back window busted out of the vehicle? Wouldn't that air it out and prevent the carbon monoxide poisoning? Also don't autopsys take a little while? Not just a day? Something just doesn't seem right about this. Are they just assuming it was carbon monoxide poisoning at this point?

honey badger don't care.

^^Oh yea maybe you're right. I forgot about the window. hmmmm. Well...yea that is very interesting. You would think that it would air out the carbon monoxide then. I just cant help but wonder if MTV could have prevented it. They were there filming. They must have known they were up to no good and must have known where they were I would think.

There should be a statement when the back window was open. the photos of his bronco show the back window missing, but when was it gone? If it was missing when all this happend, I don't see how the carbon monoxide could of filled the car when a whole back window is gone. Especially when its 3 people in the car.
