Impressed with sharing information with other climbers
After they failed their first attempt, and the other climber asked them for what they had learned, Conrad Anker said they shared the info willingly, saying "we don't own that mountain". I was surprised at that. There are other communities, like hunting and fishing, whose members would die before they shared, say, the location of a favorite fishing hole, or what kind of bait they use - even if what they knew was common knowledge, or if somebody had spoon-fed it to them.
