Concerning the cancellation of this show...

Aside from a decrease in quality with Season 3, which contributed to a drop in this show's overall viewership, I also firmly believe that lead star Rowan Blanchard also contributed to the cancellation of "Girl Meets World" as well with her outspoken and often inflammatory comments toward some fans and Disney Channel executives. I'm sure that most of her rhetoric had Disney on their toes at times knowing that her online behavior might hurt their image. On that note, I can honestly see her as one of the reasons why this show was cancelled...although it remains a mystery if she was a part of it or not. That reason lies with Disney...of which we'll probably never know.

Moreover, I've always heard that speaking out on political issues could be harmful toward a person's career, especially when you're a celebrity. When Rowan first started speaking out, the media immediately praised her by calling her "cute" and "wise beyond her years." It rather seems to me that she's just a confused and arrogant person that's looking to shove her opinion down everybody's throats.

With that being said, I can only imagine that the media will keep up their praise of Rowan until she turns 16 or 18 years old, when everything stops being "cute." By then, if she doesn't blacklist herself from any major roles (if she hasn't already) then she'll likely fade out of the limelight like so many other child actors have done.

In summary, aside from Rowan's beliefs being different from mine, this wasn't a bad show and I did watch every episode, but I would've been happier to see it move to Freeform for a Season 4, as Disney was truly bringing the quality of this show down.

I agree with most of what you said here.Speaking as a man, right wing leaning, approaching middle age,one of the LAST things I want is to be lectured on current events by ANY of the Hollyweirdos, especially by folks who are supposed to be doing a kids show!!!(No disrespect to Ms. Blanchard,or anyone else)Why can't we just leave the politics out of shows that are supposed to ENTERTAIN us!!!Aside from all that, this show has the talent, but they needed to DITCH THE WRITERS!!!End of rant!!! There are more aircraft in the ocean, than submarines in the sky!!!!

While rowan may or may not have played a role in the shows demise but i think the writing was another factor as well.

I'm sure she will do something else to try and grab attention at first, much like when she "came out" by dating she had only ever been attracted to guys but didn't know if that would always be the case. That's not coming out. That's just trying to grab attention for being a typical 14 year old girl with typical 14 year old girl thoughts and feelings. I'm sure that if she sees herself drifting into obscurity, she'll try something like that first and then sadly, like many washed up child stars, turn to drugs and only be hard from in negative ways.

Other than A Wrinkle in Time, the only time rowan will be relevant is when she resorts to doing porn [no I'm NOT asking for her to do porn, I'm typing that, that's all she'll be able to get in terms of jobs].

Besides the fact that Rowan had a direct hand in scrapping Disney Channel Preview On-Demand everything you say is stupid beyond belief. The only people who care what Rowan does off-show are people who would only watch MORE because of it.
