The show focuses on teenager Darby Walker who, in addition to being a high school student, is also an aspiring singer.
With her is her (much shorter) boyfriend Yogi, who wants to grow up (ha, ha) to be a daredevil.
Theirs is the rock solid romantic relationship upon which all the other characters revolve around. As the show's catch phrase so elequently says, "YARBY's forever!"
However, like most folks, they couldn't possibly get by without their friends:
Sarah: Long time 'bestie' of Darby, she may seem quiet, but when she has something to say, boy does she say it!
Charlie Gardner: Earnest lad who's just trying to find love in all the wrong places.
Yindra: A sassy, take no guff type, one can always count on Yindra to tell it like it is. As well as having her friends' back.
Zay Babineaux: A kid from the south side of the Mason Dixon Line, he's the most illusive of their group, floating in and out of their lives, as he also keeps close company with those other kids...
