They're taking away our bay window. Reddit might be the best option but it's just not the same.

Interesting how the only people who hate Reddit are those who have nothing to contribute but insults, unreadable posts, and trolling.
Reddit is moderated which means BS like that isn't allowed. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why all the trolls hate it.
It's only mildly moderated, actually. Troll posts get made in a lot of subs, and sometimes are even encouraged and upvoted. One of the owners of the site has admitted that he likes to edit posts of users, so he's somewhat of a troll himself.

Why is your ass still here then? Get out of here. Hater. It's terrible these boards are going away. This is the best message board site ever and the admins are going to get a lot of backlash for this and lose popularity. It's like Facebook going away. That site is the top of the social list too. Trolls are going to be everywhere and they have been swarming this place for years and years and we just dealt with it. Now the admins want to get up and arms about it and do something drastic? Ridiculous. It's like this wave just started. Well it didn't and this doesn't help the other sites because now the trolls here are going to be going there and flooding those places up, thus leading to a domino effect and we'll end up with NO social site to talk about shows and movies on. How about we get some IP bans or something that doesn't take the fun out of the millions of people who love being on here discussing things?

shareIt can be confusing because while you responded to another person originally, the person who wrote back to you also received your response. It's about as clear as mud.
Honestly it seems kind of unkind to imply that the person who responded so nicely to you is an idiot for not knowing that the response that popped up in their email, was not for them. You were pretty darn rude both times.
Most people would say "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel as though I was attacking you". Not "CLEARLY rawr rawr rawr, b*tch/whine/moan".
The real reason the boards are closing has nothing to do with any one troll in particular, but a total lack of etiquette and social aptitude. As demonstrated here, even posters who are not trolling, are quite rude, while contributing nothing of value. Add that to actual trolls and little children on here, and I completely understand why IMDB said, "why bother?".
You and fellow basement dweller Manna-Fest here really deserve each other.

I'll be migrating over to Reddit once the forums officially close on Feb. 20th. They have a pretty solid amount of visitors on that site.

Though, I've pretty much said what I needed to say about this show. It's not coming back, and no other network/streaming service is going to pick it up.
At least we've had some pretty meaningful discussions on this board from both the original and newer fan base.
shareLets have some real talk here . You are shutting these boards down because they are viewed as a negative to the average person and more importantly to Hollywood. You don't want that type of negative press which is understandable. Nobody likes bad press. But just know that you are a coward for doing this. You are caving to the pressures of others. You are taking away our voice and our freedom to express ourselves and that is a cowardly act. But worst of all you are straight up lying to us.
Everyone here knows you aren't closing the boards due to some bogus technology or "troll" issue. You're a monster company who makes billions of dollars. You're telling me you can't run simple message boards that have very little additional features? Yeah right. You are 100% caving to the PC world where you aren't allowed to have a voice and everything must be positive. No criticism is allowed. Only sunshine and rainbows. So go ahead shut down the boards. We will find someplace else. But know that by doing this you and everyone at IMDB are cowards.
Why did you post this in a forum for a children's show instead of sending it to IMDB admin?
Are you 12? I'm serious, not being snarky. I'd understand your confusion in where to post this if you are a very young person.
If not, though, you are really barking up the wrong tree. This should have been sent privately to the staff of IMDB, or written publicly as a petition.
As of now, it looks like you just threw a tantrum for anyone who would listen. That does not accomplish anything.
