It's good but jeez I wouldn't call it groundbreaking

It's a solid B-, a lot of interesting and smart ideas in a very well made film. But I don't understand why critics are raving about it this much. Adams is good I will not deny but I wouldn't say this is her best work. In fact I preferred Renner's performance. Also Forest Whitaker is completely wasted in such a limited role. His character doesn't extended anyway beyond ignorant military guy and he disappears from the film. I will say to most of you don't get too excited, most will probably like the film but just keep expectations in check.

I suppose its fair to call me captious but my experience was more in the sense of feeling something was wrong with the film whilst watching it and trying to explain it. Normally i don't actively look for faults, i didn't here either but i can't deny the film is flawed after thinking about it.

well see, critics are paid by the studios to say the things they say. especially the ones in the tv spots. such as groundbreaking. a film has never been so hypnotizing. george clooney is transvexing. yes someone actually said transvexing. ridiculous
