i wish someone would re-do Contact and make it more like the book,,,,

Where 5 scientists go instead of just Ellie, and they are all of different cultural/ religious backgrounds. The book made it much more of a multi national effort. Plus the ending of the book with the messages deep in transcendental numbers and many species working together in galactic engineering was incredible. Make it a 3 hour movie. It could work .

At least the FUNDING aspect was multi-national. Not sure if it was true to the book but sadly only one person fits in the "vehicle".

Still... it shouldn't be much more expensive to take additional trips, right? After all most of the parts are still there and could likely still function.

I loved Contact. Wonderful film from start to finish.
