AND STILL 100%!!!
shareThere is going to be such a backlash when this gets wide release. It will be Prometheus all over again. Critics are swept up in the films imagination of how intellectual/emotional it thinks it is, but audiences will quickly see through it I think.
shareBacklash?!? ... doubtful
There's been a multitude of advanced viewings and those folks that have seen the film and which have posted on Twitter, Facebook are mostly unanimous in its praise. The only folks I see which would have any issues with the film are those that expected an action sci-fi movie based on the misleading trailers.... and oh yeah,... folks like you that spend way too much time trying to ridicule every aspect of the film.
I'm 100% this is going to be Gravity all over again now i've seen this film.

shareI'm hopin' it will be *much* better than Gravity which was IMO not so good.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
I thought "Gravity" was really overrated (and nonsense to boot)!
"Arrival" is the best film I have seen in a long time and completely deserving of the 100% rating. Honestly, nobody could have had higher expectations of this one than me and I was not disappointed.

60 reviews, still 100%!
shareFunny how people are only comparing this to Gravity because of the user/critics ratings while this movie is a lot better comparable to Independence Day and 2010 (1984), even though the concept and morals are slightly different. I guess people just haven't seen it yet and are still being prejudiced about million-dollar sci-fi movies. If my opinion counts, the movie kept me breathless and is more original than you'd think.

65 reviews now and still 100%!!!!!
shareNot many reviews yet by the so called "top critics" though. They are usually the most cynical ones who tend to give films with a certain entertainment value bad reviews (for being too "escapist"). Sadly, soon one of the "top critics" or one of the religious critics will ruin the perfect score.
