The only reason I really care about seeing this movie...

To be honest, I really wasn't a huge fan of this back in the day... It just wasn't my speed. Maybe I was just really sheltered back then and the whole concept of the show seemed to be a bit more centered on the middle school age crowd, and this came out when I was in high school, so it just felt weird watching it back then.
HOWEVER, I literally live 5 minutes from the (former) Friendly's restaurant where it was filmed. It made it on the news and everything. I think I even drove by the place while they were there. Not much to see cuz the filming was all inside, but just kinda knowing it was going on 5 minutes from my house was kinda cool.
So yeah, I guess I gotta give them both a watch for different reasons.
