The Kelly/Caravan Scene...? Spoilers Obviously.

Remembering back to This is England '86 I have a recollection of Kelly asking her dad about the situation with Lol. More vividly I remember the scene with Lol and Combo where he's coaching her on what to say ("Look at me, Lol... Look at me") where he says something about he saw her dad doing what he'd been doing to her all her life and how we don't want that to happen to Kelly.

Then in Episode 2 of '90 we see the picture of Kelly and her dad in her wallet. So, we can assume that she's got some conflicting feelings regarding his death and perhaps also that she's still in denial of what he did to Lol. But, the intercut scenes of her dad during the caravan scene - is this to show that she was also a victim of sexual abuse at his hands?

Those few glimpses did make me ask the same question, but to me, no, I don't think she was a victim of her dads abuse.

We're experiencing the scene from her perspective so I took it that she was just having these twisted thoughts run through her mind from a combination of grief, what she'd taken that night, and what was happening to her at the time.

I saw elsewhere on the internet someone saying that clip was actually a bit from '86 of her dad having sex with her mum? It did make me wonder if either she was abused, coping with knowledge of Lol's abuse (do we know if she told anyone else about it after telling Woody?), or is just having some messed up thoughts while very high.

It seemed like it was a deliberate "Wow, what did I just see?" We know her dad was a complete so and so who didn't just target Lol (the Trev thing was just horrendous to watch). Either way, I'm interested to see where this goes.

Do you know what site/post references that scene or discusses that it's a clip of her mum and dad?

No I don't think her dad touched her, at least that's what was always intimated during it. I just seems that she still has mixed emotions about her dads death, supposedly at the hands of Combo. It's still her dad and the abuse didn't happen to her, so it's going to be hard thing to reconcile. She knew that there was something not right between Lol and her dad, as soon as returned and must have thought all kinds of things at the time. Also we don't know what came out in Combo's court case about how he was protecting Lol from her dad. It's obviously taken a toll on her from how she's not looking after herself atm.
