Combo Playing with the Pigeon!
That was adorable!
shareI interpreted it as almost a parody of his former self. Like the only thing he scares now are pigeons playfully. Was almost a nod to his former self.
shareMaybe it was just me but for a second I thought that was a hint that he still had a mean streak. Picking on something weaker than him
Dexter: I am a father, a son.. and a serial killer
I think it added to the believability. He's still going to have a bit of aggression in there, but he controlled it rather than kicking it.
shareI saw it a playful thing, like a child would do. I thought it was a nice little touch that went well with his reformed character. I liked to imagine it was improvised and left in, I hope so :-) It gave me a little chuckle before the *beep* well and truly hit the fan and then I was crying!

frosties are just cornflakes for people that can't face reality
Probably reading too much into it but the bird kind of represented freedom too and the ability to fly away from danger. It was Combo's last chance to fly away too and at that point he had his freedom like the bird, but he chose to get in the car with Milky. It was a great touch and made it so sad.
shareA nod to Mike Tyson I thought.
Then we see him scare one off just before Milky called him.
But he smiled. He was happy.
