I didn't grow up in England, but don't people usually look awkward when they are young and dress better as they age? Except for Lol who's maintained her style, everybody on TIE got worse over the years. Especially Gadget and Kelly.
shareOnly Gadget got worse especially in '88. But Kelly looked awesome in '86 with her pink hair. I didn't like the '88 look but '90 was OK. Trev was consistently good throughout them all. Shaun wasn't helped by the fact that he wore *beep* clothes.
They maintained their sub culture style throughout (Fred Perry polo shirts etc) so they weren't meant to look mainstream fashionable.
