I watched this yesterday. I cannot imagine a worse review for a film than forgettable.
Disclaimer - I am 53 and watching the original was THE defining cinema going moment of my life. I am going to need A LOT of alcohol to forget the sequel trilogy.
Anything I can do to help.
BTW, The Federation, Yoda, and Death Stars DON'T exist. And complaining that someone doesn't like what you do is borderline, toddler behavior.
I'd tell you to grow up but I can see how direction may confuse you.
Thanks for your concern about my simple mind, I am learning directions and will get there some day.
i just want to get one thing confirmed: You think The Rise of Skywalker is a good film and you think I'm a dumb cunt? As you can imagine I am struggling to reconcile this.
TBH I didn't even look at source of this post. You said something stupid on another post and put me in stalking mode. Sure as shit I found another pointless, preachy post with no substantive use except to coddle your ego. Are you even capable of discussing this mindless movie, let alone series or is it all I THINK, I BELIEVE, I WISH as if the whole world is waiting in anticipation for your opinion. Have something clever to say or intriguing to consider or just STFU already.
Thanks for appreciating my opinion, I'm glad it intrigued you enough to follow me, you actual creep. My ego is sufficiently coddled. But stalk away.
How does it feel to be you?
I finally made myself watch this today, I've been debating it for 3 years, not that I thought VII and VIII were bad films but they just seem like rehashes of the old movies and this was no different really.
However, to be honest, I kinda liked this one more than 7/8. The nostalgia in TROS is off the charts, which I thought was a nice touch. It's almost like a little tribute to the fans of the original trilogy and the updated films too.
The biggest issue is still the main characters (Rey, Finn and Kylo), they're just not very appealing. But I really liked the little guy that works on droids, hilarious character and 3PO was very entertaining as usual.
Still, I can't give it a high rating because that feeling of "we've seen this before" is always lurking in the back of your mind. I think the current IMDB rating of 6.5 is fair but I'm going to give a slightly higher rating and go 7.0 out of 10 and that's mainly for the nostalgia of it all... pretty good movie in my view.
