They end the movie with Lando Calrissian having a awkward creepy moment with a woman way too young for him asking her Who's your daddy? Kind of an bizarre artistic choice they made.

I saw it as another possible spin off Disney was testing.

Yes. They were clearly dipping a toe in the water. If there had been a big wave of love for Lando and the horse-rider character (so much love I can't remember her character's name!) they'd have green-lit a spinoff.

Same schtick with Finn & the horse chick. I was sure they'd say "Oh, it's your sister you didn't know about".
