Well he didnt have to take the money to be in the movie but since he did I guess it is his Luke

reply

Exactly. Mark Hamill can make all the vailed comments he likes but the truth is that he could have made this "sequel" trilogy very different if he really had any integrity.

The main plot line of TFA was the search for Luke Skywalker. Well if there is no Luke Skywalker there is no film. Same with TLJ, in fact more so. That film basically couldn't exist without Mark Hamill. If he really didn't like the way Skywalker was portrayed he could ultimately have refused to play ball. Yeah, Disney I'm sure could have threatened to sue him for breach of contract but if he'd hung tough they'd have to have played ball because there was no film without him.

That's why as much as I disliked TLJ, I can't accept Mark Hamill making any criticism of it.

Dudes gotta eat. Out of work actor now has a chance to be back up on big screen. I would've done it.

The OT members apparently signed-on to the NT without seeing the scripts, especially considering that the scripts weren't even written. I have to believe breaking a signed contract with Disney could ruin your financial health.

reply

This is truth; every word. The actors signed on pre-scripts. Hamill talks about this when he talks about his disappointment with the script for Episode VII: The Greatest Character Entrance in Movie History.

Financial health nothing, I wouldn't be surprised if The Mouse sent gents around to break your kneecaps for contract disputes.

reply

And Hamill, Harrison and Fisher believed Lucas was going to create the movies - not Disney.

reply

I was wondering about that, if George got Carrie, Harrison, and Mark to sign-on under Lucas Films, then sold Lucas Films (including their contract) out from under them to Disney for more money, now having the 3 of them locked-in.

That would have been a shit thing to do on George's part.

reply

Lucas also hired Kennedy who thought that she would be working under Lucas since she knew nothing about the Disney sale. She was blindsided, too.

I bet Lucas told Disney he would get the three actors to sign which sweetened the deal for them. Karma is a b*tch.

Once you put pen to paper, they got you by the balls.
