There's three versions of the movie. The first one, the JJ Abrams cut, was extremely bad. The first act was decent, the second act was bad, and the third one was awful.
The second cut, the Bob Iger cut, reworked the second act and was a bit better. The last cut had the third act rewritten by Lucas last minute and scored better than the previous two ones.
