The movie would be some kind of remake (or copy-paste) from the 'Return of the Jedi' but without a new Death Star, just a huge wall or force field that would protect the richest areas (kind of 'Casino' scene in TLJ), populated by white people and ruled by the First Order, from poorer areas pro-Rebellion.
The main conflict would be how to take down that force-field or wall, like in Return of the Jedi.
The movie appears to be about how the people support a tyrannical anti-democratic leader who is against all the traditional values of freedom, democracy and justice that the people used to deem important.
The rebels try to inform the people about the ongoing atrocities and numerous lies by the tyranny, but the people have decided to keep themselves willfully ignorant which endangers any future hope of democracy.
Most people have a problem differentiating between news and political commentary programs. Fox, MSNBC and CNN are political commentary channels. That's why they talk about politics at least 95% of the time. It's about opinion and influencing public opinion mixed in with facts or lies.
Most people also have a problem differentiating between a viewpoint and the truth. News can have a conservative or liberal viewpoint and still be the truth which is different from lying in order to support an agenda like a state supported "news" source like Pravda or Russia Today.
The age of honest media with a viewpoint has passed. There were. There isn't (at least, when it comes to mainstream media). And I include agencies. This is an inside story about Associated Press:
After this article, AP started to include confidentiality clauses in employee's contracts. So go figure.
And sites like factcheck or mediabiasfactcheck are actually politically biased (factcheck is actually VERY politically biased). See how none of them define a method to select stories. Since media are not homogeneous, you can pick stories that tell what you wanna tell. Not to say they lie and manipulate too.
No, it's a pro-Israel journalist trying to influence readers to her viewpoint by criticizing Israel's coverage in the mass media. She is only reiterating what I wrote about the news media. I don't believe she's lying. She's only presenting an article from a specific perspective. It's obviously not objective because it lacks the Palestinian perspective. I have no problem with commentary, opinion pieces or viewpoints because I can learn how different people view something.
"...method to select stories"
She brings up why certain stories are covered over others which appears to be your concern too. Many stories run based on what will interest their target audience. Don't forget that advertisers pay their bills and want that specific demographic to make purchases.
"you can pick stories that tell what you wanna tell."
Yes, but there is a difference between a story and a fact. A good example would be the fact that the Earth is round. Yes, there are sites that proclaim the Earth is flat, but they don't change the fact that the Earth is round.
News does two things. Give information and/or influence. The least biased sources will attempt to inform without influencing whereas the more biased ones do the reverse.
"mediabiasfactcheck are actually politically biased (factcheck is actually VERY politically biased)"
Link any information on those sites that you consider false or politically biased.
Every one of those news sources (except RT, the one you don't like) criticizes Trump for not being imperialistic enough. Between "warnings" that "Trump will start WW3" are cries that "Trump is bringing the end of American empire".
Jar Jar Abrams has a 20 foot wall around his house and donated heavily to Hillary Clinton. Find those WMDs in Iraq yet?
