Let's not forget, in less than 2 Star Trek movies, Star Trek!!!! JJ was ripping off iconic moments from other films and patting himself on the back for transposing iconic dialogue between characters.
I just heard episode 9 will resemble Jedi with a bit of Last Samurai ala Tom Cruise thrown in.
Boycott these movies!
Why is it important to you that other people not go see this movie? Would it bother you if it was wildly successful? You really seem to be unable to stop talking about TLJ. If you hate it, move along.
If they made the movies exactly the way you liked them, another group of SW fans would be screaming how much they hated them!

Some people really are passionate about Star Wars. Sadly disney put out a bunch of movies that were subpar to terrible and a large portion of the fan bade took it personally. Also, disney didn't do themselves any favors by personally attacking the fan base by calling them, man babies, white supremacists, sexists and all sorts of other vile things. disney violated the number one rule of ALL businesses "The customer is always right!". disney has become to big, to cocky and too arrogant to care and you know what? That's bad. Being like that comes back to haunt you no matter how big you are.
And before you attack me I'm not being whiny I'm just stating the facts as to why it matters to so many people.
Me, I checked out of Star Wars as soon as they disregarded the Thrawn Trilogy. However, I am very amused at the fan backlash and what pissed off fans have to say. I'm having more fun with that aspect of Star Wars than I probably could have had with anything that disney is capable of doing.
If Thrawn was really your hang-up, then you should know the character has been resurrected with a new series of books.

The fact that disney told me that 30+ years worth of material that was originally considered cannon had been rendered meaningless is what made me turn away from their version of star wars. At this point disney can resurrect whomever they want, and it won't change the fact they pissed all over the preexisting fan base. I have no interest in anything that has to do with disney's star wars. They lost me, and will never get me back. These days I simply like hearing about how much most of the fans think that disney sucks.

We all know your last movie is just poorly made elaborate FAN FICTION - that is pretentious and poorly made.
I can't help but complain.
I encourage all to join the Boycott and avoid watching Episode IX in the theatre.
I really wish I had faith that Abrams could pull it out, because there's nothing I like better than a fun movie... but he's J. J. Abrams.
