Jar Jar failure.
shareDont' believe it! JarJar will just steal some more from the original trilogy.
shareAfter VIII , i don't think it can get worse
shareAfter TLJ, I can imagine JJ tearing his hair out trying to write episode 9.
No Han, Luke, or Leia, which is beyond stupid because Mark Hamill is still alive, and still capable of giving a really good performance but instead, they killed him.
No one really cares about the new characters because instead of further developing them, Rian Johnson decided to add new ones, which no one liked.
The villain situation is down the toilet because there is no Snoke, and Kylo Ren is basically a "Twilight" character now.
I really don't see how he can pull it off unless he decides to just retcon the hell out of TLJ, which probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
^^^this!^^^ALL OF THIS!!!^^^
shareWhy do people keep saying no Luke? Does a force ghost not count? I would be shocked if Mark Hamill was not in the movie.
shareYes to all except that Kylo was a Twilight character from the very beginning. There is no "now".
As for Luke coming back as a Force Ghost, it's possible but Mark Hamil has not had very nice things to say about his experience with the sequels. While most of his complaints were towards Rian Johnson, he did mention once that JJ Abrams ignored him during shooting TFA and he did not like that Han was killed off before they had a reunion between the three major characters form the OT. Mark isn't coming back, I don't think. What's worse, I'm not sure Abrams wants him back.
I never thought it would ever be true that I was going to NOT WATCH a Star Wars movie. I thought for sure that I would watch every single one of them for the rest of my life even if they were not great. TFA and R1 were "not great" but good enough for me to keep watching. TLJ was far worse than I can tolerate. And Solo was pretty bad. Those two together have made me immune to any "good" news they try to use for damage control.
I'm done unless they erase the shitty Avatar ideas from Cammeron's head and get him to direct something written by Jim Starlin.
