Too much fan criticism stems from "But muh fan theories"

Jar Jar, the main person responsible for getting this clusterf*ck rolling, has been noted multiple times as having been really into the script for the TLJ. I see just entirely too much projecting, blaming Johnson for "snubbing" Jar Jar's film when for many it's really just butthurt about the fan theories Jar Jar baited them with (Really just empty plot threads), that they had obsessed over for 2 years, only for those theories to be ignored.

Is there anyone who is actually upset that a 'fan theory' never came through though?

I think most people are annoyed that tlj is one of the worst films of all time instead.

I've seen an endless stream of complaints very much along the lines of "TFA set it up so many "great" plot threads (Jar Jar's nothing boxes) that were wasted". TLJ was bad but much of it's problem stem from Jar Jar's clusterf*ck.

OK, although I never though tfa set up any good plot points at all lol.

Both films are terrible from my pov. But yes I can see why some people were annoyed if they were hoping tlj was going to redeem the franchise I guess.

FULLY agree that tfa was a cluster.
