Weren't you people happy to see these characters again after all these years? Ok I'll be honest seeing them in the same position they left was disappointing. Might as well not watch the O.T. at all since nothing was resolved.

I just finished reading Heir to the Empire - the real sequel - which has Luke, Leia and Han together again with Lando and Ackbar. The book doesn't undo the OT, but continues the story. The characters are recognizable and still the same heroes we're familiar with even though circumstances have allowed them to grow. Luke is training Leia which I liked. I can't wait to begin reading the rest of the books.
