TLJ barely running ahead of Rogue One in dailies
Despite opening much higher. Is WOM that bad, superfans not going back for multiple viewings?

shareWell I loved Rogue One but I love The Last Jedi even more so this is alarming. It's getting dangerously close to falling behind RO daily...only a million separating them and it's closing rapidly.
shareOh, dear. How will Disney ever survive if this scrapes by with barely a billion dollars in worldwide box office?
shareWhile yes, this installment will do well by any other standard...this is Star Wars! The ramifications of a lukewarm reception for the second most anticipated film in history could be catastrophic...at the very least...embarrassing... for a company that is just shy of squaring an investment of more than 4 billion dollars...face it...all eyes are on this one...and unfortunately...the nays have it...
shareExactly right. Making only half of it's predecessor is not going to be okay for Disney after making a 4 BILLION dollar investment.
Think about what that portends for the remaing films.
Disney also requires theaters to run it for 4 weeks on biggest screen, and takes 65% of tickets compared to 55-60% for most. That's absurd for our small-city single-screen theater.
