Well. Shit. The look on Mark's face. He looks like he wants to take a lightsaber to Rian Johnson.

reply

Mark seems really sincere in wanting to accept fresh ideas from Johnson and the way he describes it, Rian completely disregarded Marks input on a character he knows better than anyone. Its pretty sad.

reply

He didn't like Force Awakens either.

reply

He didnt like his screen time in that, not the same thing

reply

He complained about Han's death too.

reply

To be fair it was Harrison Ford's idea to die. Ford's an idiot because he's among the best thing about watching these movies. He's funny, has great dialogue and has great chemistry with the other characters.

reply

Oh, Ford wanted to die, but Hamil thought the way he died was bad.

reply

I believe Hamill said the three original characters should've been reunited before Han's death. It would've been more powerful to have Leia or Luke present when Han died instead of Rey who just met him. Hamill gets no respect from Disney.

reply

Agreed. Of the two, I thought Luke's death was more respectful to the franchise.

reply

I agree. I don't mind Han dying, but yeah, there should have been a scene featuring him, Luke and Leia before or when it happened.

reply

Harrison Ford wanted Han to die at the end of RotJ, and early drafts of the script had that happening (he would have been piloting the Falcon instead of Lando, with the Falcon perishing in the fireball rather than making it out on time). It was an explicit condition set by Ford that Han must die in order for him to sign up for TFA. Belive me, Disney paid him a shitload of money to appear. We might call him an idiot because we didn't want his character to die, but I'm actually glad he did rather than forcing Ford to play him when he's obviously not interested.

reply

They made him work out for months and gave him only a 30 second scene. I'd be pi**ed too.
