If you had to have a Asian Chick in your movie. Can she at least be attractive.
Just saying.

shareWell, I'm more into the story and all that than staring at attractive women. Plus being entertained. So it didn't bother me Rose wasn't really attractive. I thought she was in the middle when it came to attractiveness. She was attractive but not too much that it was distracting.
Also, Star Wars is known to cast actors/actresses that aren't really attractive. Lots of fans think Adam Driver isn't all that great looking. Same thing with Mark Hamill. The only ones they worry about is the main female lead. That role they try to cast a very attractive actress. Well, Daisy Ridley wasn't attractive in The Force Awakens, but after seeing her outside the movie, she is pretty nice looking. But I did notice they made Rey a little more attractive and gave her a little more makeup in The Last Jedi compared to The Force Awakens. Unless I was finding Rey more attractive in The Last Jedi because I've seen pics and videos of Daisy Ridley in real life and not as Rey.
I guess Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso) COULD be another one that isn't the greatest looking but is still attractive, although she plays the lead female character of the Star Wars movie she is in. Well, I personally think she is attractive, but she wasn't too attractive that it was distracting. Lots of fans are divided on her too from what I've seen all over the internet.
So I think the actress playing Rose fit just fine and was no different than other actors/actresses being cast in previous Star Wars movies.
The issue I had with Rose is that the character was either mis-cast or the actor chosen is just straight up not a very good actor. Not sure which. In short, the character didn't really work for me overall (but that had nothing to do with her physical appearance).
