so hyperspace speed doesn't do what what light speed does must be true of if you could travel faster than light time would just pass the same for both

They're not flying through space near lightspeed. They fly through hyperspace with normal speed, thereby moving like a bullet shot through a wave.

The physics of space travel in the Star Wars universe have never been explained, nothing close to it.

Basically, the characters can be wherever and whenever the script needs them to be.
