Probably.

All the fanboy grumbling has made some people forget that TFA was a lot of fun on first viewing, although it doesn't wear well. Both it and R1 are well-made films, and if Disney can work up the nerve to use original material, the results might be genuinely good.

I hope it is.

It probably won't get the pass TFA got, but I would be a little surprised if they reviewed it too harshly.

There will be enough social activists to make sure good reviews, but it probably would have nothing to do with the quality of movies.
