My review of the movie (if anyone is interested in reading)

Thanks for sharing! This is the second mixed review I've read and now my expectations are low. I just saw the original film a few days ago and I kept thinking to myself all the things they could improve with this remake. tsk

Thanks for fine review. What about the music? i read the music in the movie is very good. And are you going to some other movies from Midnight Madness or from Vanguard section? Be glad if you post some short reviews on the other flicks, too

Yep, I am going to see The Sacrament, Oculus, Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears, and Witching and Bitching. I will be putting up reviews of all of them :)

As for the music - the music is good but in a funny, over the top way (for example, a tune that sounds like a vocal version of 80s Friday the 13th "ch ch ch ahh ahh ahh" music). It fits the movie really well and sets the mood for cheesy fun. If you listened to the tracks without the movie they probably wouldn't be anything special. The sound editing on the other hand was pretty excellent.
