Why is Helen a red head on the movie poster?

Both the German and American movie poster show Helen as a brightly colored red haired girl, but her hair looks more like dirty-blonde in the movie.

In the movie when Helen is at the bordello, she tells the red-headed prostitute she picked her because, "a copper roof makes for a moist cellar". This is the only reference to red hair in the whole movie, but I still don't see any correlation.

Why is Helen a red head on the movie poster?

I guess it's because red hair means passion and craziness. It's not meant to be taken literally, but rather in a symbolic sense.

Sounds like I need to start dating more redheads.
