Prudes on imdb?

I completely agree! Sure it had its moments where I just had to turn my head, but I think it was a very good story! It was meant to be "gross" and it succeeded! It's not for everyone, but I would recommend it for adults. Also, having lived in Germany in the 80's, it probably wasn't quite as shocking to them. They don't feel the need to hide the human body or be ashamed of nudity.

reply

Yeah sure. I'm sure you met every German person and so know what's shocking to them.

'Prude', what a stupid word. People are allowed to dislike things. Disliking seeing scenes of tampon swapping or blood playing or vegetable-masturbating does not make someone a 'prude'. It's such a stupid term. Everyone has that line of what they will do sexually, and some idiots think that anyone else who doesn't go to that line is some 'prude', well people who go above that line think those idiots are prudes too. Idiotic term.

reply

Then don't watch it idiot! Nobody made you watch prude. And yes, I spent many years in Europe and other countries and I'm sure I know more about it than you! Crawl back in your hole and switch back to the Brady bunch, because if you watch anything else you will probably be offended.

reply

I didn't. I turned it off because it was so *beep* stupid. I'm not offended, I laugh at how *beep* ridiculous it is and how dumbasses like you take it seriously and act like anyone who could possibly dislike this has to be a prude. What a *beep* retard.

reply

I wasn't talking to the people who didn't like the movie for other reasons you idiot! Maybe you just have problems understanding, "retard"!!!

totally agree with all this. very true.

I spent almost 13 years living and working in (West) Germany and I have to agree. The Anglo-Saxon world (Britain, US and Australia) is so perplexed about sex, while enjoying the prurient aspect of the acres of newsprint on the subject. To the Germans and Dutch, it is just another part of life, like eating and sh*tting.

reply

I have lived for 36 years in Germany and I hate most of the German movies because of the lack of empathy many filmmakers have here (A few exceptions).
My impression on this movie (also the book) is it is just initiating some kind of disgust against humans and fighting empathy.
Perhaps here are too much psychopaths ruling the middle of society.

reply

Glad you cleared that up for us.
