Song title? Played on final two episodes

In one of the very final scenes in the final episode, where Victor is on the beach with Julie and the nurse, what's the song that's playing? It was also used in the previous episode (perhaps the same scene in Victor's dream, can't remember). Can't hear the words very well, but I feel like I should know it and it's driving me potty - the final line of the verse is something like 'what are we doing here now'? Sounds a bit like the Jesus & Mary Chain...

"Wait till they get a load of me!"

The song is "What Are They Doing In Heaven Today?" and is on the soundtrack album by Mogwai, "Les Revenants." It's an old song from the 1920s by Washington Philips (I think?) 🎼

Ah, excellent, thanks! Unfortunately that raises more questions than answers for me now - have done a lot of googling on that song now and can't find any recordings (or film soundtracks) that I feel I should know it from. Turns out it was a hymn written in 1901, so I suspect it's probably just something I've heard a few times in westerns (if they're being a bit loose with the historical facts) or just films in general I suppose. I do like my blues music too though, and the Washington Phillips version definitely sounds like something that could have been covered by the likes of Missisippi John Hurt, so it's possible I do actually have it somewhere in my collection.
I do think it would sound great being covered by Jesus & Mary Chain / Primal Scream though...

The album is on You Tube. Hope this helps.
