Camille's vs Mrs Costa reaction (goof??)

Camille realises something is not right when she sees her twin sister has aged while she is still the same. She is terrified and screams, which is understandable because when she left home "this morning" Lena was her same age.

Mr Costa (the elderly man who jumps off the dam to his death) is in his seventies. In his house there's a picture of him and his wife in their thirties. When she comes back, she's in her thirties so we know she died young. She interacts with her husband, who is now 40 years older than when last she saw him... and does not react in any way? I understand Costa's is not a major story within the plot, but she sits there eating, smiling at him as if nothing has happened.

I think it's a major goof (unless someone has any thoughts or saw something I miss?).

We actually don't know or see what happened when they first met. We only see the aftermath and her sitting in the kitchen. Besides Ms. Costa seemed a bit weird even before her death.

He's got my foot in a food processor.

Not it is not a goof - Mrs. Costa I think was more aware of what was going on. You get more of her backstory in later episodes (and you see how she died in an episode of Season 2).

I think it was just a reflection of their ages/maturity. Camille was 15; everything makes you freak out when you're 15. Mrs Costa was very pragmatic and unflappable. Even if she had no idea how long she'd been gone, it's conceivable that she was like, "whatever, where are my cigarettes?"
