Sex Scenes, Season One vs. Season Two *Sexy Spoilers Alert*

Alright so I hate to have to go there, but this was one aspect of the show that struck me as odd in retrospect. In season one we had many sex scenes such as Lucy speaking to the dead while gettin' it on with half the town (or pretending to? Wasn't clear on that), Adèle and Simon, young Léna and the kid from school, Léna and Serge for some reason, etc.

It took me a little while to get through season 2 due to life getting in the way (really enjoyed this show though) so my memory is a little foggy, but I can't recall any sex scenes in season 2.

Now I'm totally fine with that personally and even prefer it that way. I don't need sex scenes or nudity to draw me in or enhance my opinion of a show, but when thinking back on the series, I thought it was strange that this was largely or entirely omitted from season 2. Was this a deliberate choice by the production staff? Was this the reason for the slightly lower ratings for season 2 in France (I surely hope not)?
