My new favorite show

That is all

Yeah, I find myself craving it come Friday. I wish there were seasons of it to catch up on in the meantime.

It's not perfect, but it seems to be the sort of show that will get even better with time.

reply

Yeah most shows take a season or two to get good, this is already good.

I like it more each week... Looks like there are going to be 10 eps? Which will carry into around the time Breaking Bad starts showing... But what is going to carry me over to new eps of Louie. (Oh, yeah Community.)

I wasn’t sure what to expect. I only knew Maron from Louie as the guy Louie kept saying sorry to but he forgot (Louie). So, I thought whatever, podcasts, funny guests stars, maybe a rambling plot about how this guy seemed kind of morose from the Louie episode.

Funny as *beep* I didn’t think each episode could be better, but they kind of are. The episode, “Sponsor”, was the best. In between stereotypes that become an opening to taking that stereotype and running with it, to random acts of cruelty disguised as kindness, this was really funny stuff.

I know there are countless comparisons to Louie and Larry David, but does it hurt to have one more really funny weirdo show to laugh at once a week? I think not. Cheers Marc Maron.

Yea, I dig it too. Haven't listened to wtf in at least 6 months (or any podcasts really, my bubble burst on them) so it's sort of interesting having his life from the early monologues of the show created on tv. Maron's pretty good in it too. I imagine there will be some episode(s) where he make amends with all the people he's *beep* on, as that was when the podcast was good, those first I dunno, 75 or so episodes where once a month or so he was saying sorry for being a dickhead. It would also be interesting to see a take on interacting with other podcasts (sort of a joke with the bath tub guy and Dana and Marc) but carolla or someone could be a good episode (caroltards?)

Anyway, good show, maron really found his voice from the start on this show and I hope it sticks around - it has been quite good so far.

I think I might have spoken too soon...This last episode (7th) was total crap.

reply

yea, they can't all be gems.

reply

It really wasn't that bad it had its moments relax

I can't call it my favorite show, but it certainly fills the void that 'The Life and Times of Tim' left.
