Maron has been a hit or miss with each episode. This one is a hit for me. Bobby Mendez is the worst recovery 'friend' ever..but that's what made this episode funny...as well as Sally Struthers.

Yeah, 32 yrs sober and I had tears running down my cheeks. Very very disturbingly funny, and real. Bobcat Goldwait played a recovering drunk on the old Laroquette Show where he was totally insane while sober, and completely normal when drinking. John, newly recovering, was 12 stepping him only to find out that the Bobcat had multiple years on him. This was an equally good twist on the old saying of "what do you get when you sober up a horsethief?"
