Maron's latest podcast, he annoounced that he did what he wanted to do, and now the next show (full hour) will be the last.
The man is an artist, and an innovator with integrity and talent. Not too many out the like him. What a great show that I think will achieve cult status streaming.

It is especially interesting in the light that some people were convinced his whole "making amends and sobering up" personality was just a part of his act. Obviously it means more to him.
shareRecovery-wise this was the most accurate show done so far IMHO. The second part of step 9, "except when to do so would injure them or others," is often ignored as it was here. As the presumptive father of a 32 yo girl whom I've only seen on a facebook page, I can say that doing the opposite of what Mark did on the show is hard. And lest I be condemned, mom used me to trap her sugar daddy into marriage as he was getting ready to dump her.
