Shay not returning is an interesting thought. IIRC that concept was done somewhere else recently which escapes my memory ATM. Mark would be a fish out of water in a small town like that so I could see it working, though I'm not sure how many cameos from visiting comedians would be likely. That and a career narcissist having to care for a child. =8^O One aspect of successful recovery is a need to leave one's playmates and playgrounds. I know in the 80's that it was exceptionally hard to recover in Hollywood because the whole industry was rife with vice, but now there is a solid recovery base, although a lot of people struggle with the possibility of their careers taking a hit, plus their entourages are often full of parasites that do not have the host's best interests in mind. If the show continues, it would work for me if Mark stays in the small town to get a solid year under his belt before making the decision to get back into the entertainment game. recovery is interesting because quite often it is those people/places/things that one is most reluctant to give up which turn out to be the first things that need to go. A geographic works as long as one works the program rather than simply letting the absence of temptation be their source of strength.
