Took my 12 year old daughter, bored to death
Audience was silent for the most part. A few chuckles, but that only came from the best material shown in trailers.

That's a shame, me and the lost boys had fun with it. Even besides us, the audience seemed to stay pretty engaged the whole time through.

That's too bad. My 13 year old daughter and I laughed quite a bit at it.
shareIt's not really for those over 8, maaaybe 10.
But it was a good elementary school age movie. And the best material either wasn't shown at all in the trailers or was connected to the best parts from the trailers.

Hey now, me and my partner went and we're both 31...and we enjoyed it! Oh, we don't have kids either.
If everything is not all rainbows and kittens for you today, hopefully it will be tomorrow!
I didn't mean to imply adults (with or without kids) couldn't enjoy it.. I've no kids, went by myself, and had fun with it. I just meant the target audience skews younger than say Inside Out and has many of the trappings that put it on the more kiddie side (such as sacrificing the message for a development kids would enjoy more. Created a mixed message which bothered me a little but doesn't at all ruin the movie). It's a very high 6/10 for me; meaning it borders on 7 but not quite there.
Not meant to be Inside Out level, but an enjoyable kids film. It's a good kiddie slap sticky movie that still kept me invested in the characters. I definitely think this film is not getting its fair shake from the critics. There's clear effort and creativity put into this movie and is nowhere close to bottom of the barrel.

Well, i took my 9 year old son and my 6 year old daughter. They both seemed to get a lot out of it.
My son, in particular, usually has trouble staying engaged with anything longer then 20 minutes, so this was a win.
Personally i felt it was pretty mediocre, but i also wasn't really there for me. It was a good family film.

I really enjoyed the film and listening to the others in the screening, so did most others
