Does Johnny reject his son?

Johnny acknowledges him, but they barely interact and I can't remember a scene where they talk. The highest level of interaction I remember is when they are leaving for the trip and he is distracting Denis while Mavis and Drac are talking.

Is it just imaturity, or doesn't Johnny likes his son?

I love the imaginary world you go to in your head. Of course he loves his son. He wants his son raised at the hotel.

davemerino is right. Of course he loves his son deeply, I actualy think it is one of very rare movies where you can see a believeble interaction between the parent and his child. Johnny, Mavis and Denis are such a sweet family
