I pretty much agree with what they say. The mixed message bothered me a bit, but not enough to ruin the film. It has a lot of fun with the slapstick and exagerated animation. I only felt one of the songs was forced. I also think this got a lot of flak just because Adam Sandler was involved.
If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life.
While I love the brothers, I can't believe how much they liked this film. When they like the joke of the video showing Dennis falling, I wanted to punch them in the face. Not only was it not funny, it was stupid. It reminded me of Turbo with the viral video! Also, the comedy when it's linked to phones made me want to gag. Lastly, the animation on their faces is just random, from realistic to baby-faced. Here's my trusty Canadian reviewer: Animat who actually hates both HT films. Here's the link.
