.. they didn't go for Dennis being a vampire. It was very expected, and would have been better if they were able to make him a 'hero' without being a vampire. The actual fighting with a baby winning seemed really weird

shareI was thinking the same thing, the whole time I watched the movie... They're going to have him become a vampire at the end and well he did.
It would have been a lot "braver" if he was just a human like his dad and that would have gone against everything Drac was trying to do all movie long.
Instead the boy changes and then Mavis is like we are staying even though she was mad at her dad for almost killing her son.
it would have made absolutely No sense. Dracular and Mavis are immortal beings. it would make no sense leaving dennis a human.
