Kayla and Courtney

The episode was crazy considering the subject. What I found more crazy was when they described the police chase with the father. There was 2 young kids in the car and the police were shooting at the car? If accurate the police were idiots.

It wouldn't be the first time police has done it. They really are

reply

Well it's Kentucky...so there's that. ?

This really stood out to me too!

When they were re-telling the story and mentioned the shooting, i was just floored.

That's nuts.

"Luke Skywalker has vanished."

We don't know the whole story. The father could've been shooting at the police first. The police might've not known there were children in the car with him. The girl could've been mistaken/lying about police shooting at the car.

reply

According to an article I read about the case, the chase ended with Frankie hitting a police cruiser. The hit could have been due to the police shooting at the car or, as you said, the girl was mistaken.

reply

If Frankie were trying to run down the officer, the officer is authorized to shoot at the car to try and stop him. So perhaps Frankie was driving head-on at the officer and the cruiser, the officer shot but didn't stop him, and he slammed into the cruiser.

I mean, just throwing it out there as another possibility.

Yep. You could be right.

A similar situation happened where I live. The police were chasing a car and ended up shooting the driver and his child, who later died. The officers are being charged, though.

reply

The officers are being charged? That's kind of surprising. There have been cases where the cops shoot at a driver's car and kill someone and the driver gets charged with felony murder.
